Ansel Stroud concentrates his practice in first party insurance defense litigation. He applies experience in oral advocacy, drafting and discovery to achieve optimal results for his clients.

Ansel brings a unique set of analytical skills to his work as a lawyer because of his experience in both common law and civil law jurisdictions. He takes an innovative approach with each client to develop a personalized defense litigation strategy.

Ansel earned his J.D. and D.C.L. from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. He received the Dean’s Scholarship and acted as graduate editor of the LSU Law Journal of Civil Law Studies. He was a member of the Board of Advocates and Writing Competition Committee while also participating in mock trial where he placed as finalist in the Ira S. Flory Mock Trial Competition.

While in law school, Ansel served as a law clerk for a criminal and domestic law firm as well as a personal injury law firm. During his tenure, he honed his legal writing and research skills and participated in trial preparations.

Ansel holds a B.A. in history from Louisiana State University.
