Ashley Sefchok represents and counsels clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including general liability coverage and defense, first-party property insurance, bad faith allegations and equine law.

Ashley prides herself on diligent and tailored representation of her clients and believes that the key to a successful defense is in the details. Her prior experience as a plaintiff’s litigator and former prosecutor gives her the ability to see cases from both sides; she can anticipate opposing counsel’s next moves, which allows her to provide targeted advice to clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Ashley worked as an associate for a local litigation firm as well as an associate for a national financial, business and commercial litigation firm.  She also served an Assistant State Attorney for the Office of the State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Florida where she prosecuted thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases and tried over 20 jury trials to verdict.

Ashley earned her J.D., cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Shepard Broad College of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Society, NSU Trial Association and ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law. While in law school, she served as a law clerk for a national civil litigation firm and a local litigation firm. She also served as a judicial intern for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida and Certified Legal Intern for the Office of the State Attorney for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Florida.

She holds a B.A., cum laude, with a double major in public relations and broadcast journalism from Duquesne University.

Ashley is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and now lives in Miami, Florida with her dog Oreo.  When she is not working, you can find Ashley either biking throughout Miami or on the tennis court.
