Damon Newman is an experienced litigator and focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, contractual disputes and related regulatory issues.

Damon employs a pragmatic approach to litigation that is tailored to the specific needs and objectives of each client. He is an experienced litigator, representing clients in complex commercial disputes, ERISA matters and complex chapter 11 proceedings. He is strategically aggressive, and helps clients work toward efficient solutions to business problems and disputes.

Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Damon was a partner at the Chicago office of a prominent national firm specializing in complex business litigation and chapter 11 proceedings across the nation.

Damon received his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law, where he was involved with the low-income taxpayer clinic and received special honors for legal writing. He holds a B.S. in hydrogeology with a minor concentration in environmental engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Damon lives in Chicago with his husband Paul and two rescue dogs. He enjoys functional strength training and participating in Ironman competitions. He is a four-time Ironman finisher.
