David Engleman focuses his practice on first-party insurance defense and insurance coverage and bad faith. Drawing on his strong legal and policy background, he is adept at motion practice for trials and appeals.
Prior to joining the firm, David served as a policy analyst for the National Governors Association in Washington, D.C. He also worked as a law clerk for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Baltimore. During law school, David completed summer clerkships with the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center and Southern Center for Human Rights and served as a student attorney in his law school’s capital punishment clinic.
David earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was an executive editor of the American Journal of Criminal Law. He holds a B.A. in English with Plan II honors from the University of Texas at Austin.
Outside the office, David enjoys going to the movies, trying new restaurants and taking road trips.
