Practice Highlights
- Acted as legal counsel to numerous insurance carriers, providing both coverage and bad faith litigation services.
- Represented various companies in litigation, including a national freight forwarding company, a major national beverage company, and an international architectural and design company. Served as trial counsel in a highly contested two-week defamation trial, which resulted in a jury verdict in which all three defendants were found not to have personally defamed the plaintiff.
- Filed a bad faith case on behalf of an excess insurer against a primary insurer for failing to settle a liability claim when, under all the circumstances, it could and should have done so had it acted fairly towards its insured. The case was eventually settled on the eve of trial following extensive motion practice that resulted in all of defendant’s affirmative defenses being stricken.
