Omar Al-Hendy concentrates his practice in the area of asbestos litigation, utilizing his extensive experience in legal writing & research. He diligently seeks inventive pathways to achieve the best outcomes, ensuring his clients receive exceptional representation.
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Omar began his law career with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. During his time there, he argued briefs in the Illinois Appellate court, prosecuted juvenile felony cases and developed his trial skills in the courtroom while serving as the first chair on numerous trials. From this experience, he developed a strong sense of empathy for others, and continues to show this by providing his best effort when representing his clients.
Omar earned his J.D. from Wake Forest University in North Carolina and his B.A from the University of Pittsburgh. While attending law school, he was selected as one of five submissions published in The Wake Forest Journal of Law & Policy for his research on the changing laws in North Carolina surrounding hemp manufacturing. He was a member on that journal’s manuscripts committee afterwards until he graduated and moved to Chicago.
Omar lives in the West Suburbs of Chicago and enjoys going to the beach, watching the NBA, going to Chicago Bulls games and trying out all the different food spots in the city with friends and family.
