Robert Russell is a trial and appellate litigator concentrating on first-party insurance disputes. He has experience at every level of insurance litigation, from pre-suit coverage analysis through discovery, trial and appellate briefing.

Robert has briefed, argued and won multiple dispositive motions in state and federal courts and second-chaired a trial victory convincing a federal judge that the client correctly denied a homeowner’s insurance claim based on an arson finding.

His docket includes both residential and commercial property insurance disputes, as well as bodily injury coverage.

Prior to joining the firm, Robert worked on first-party insurance cases for a Texas law firm. He also handled high-dollar commercial matters for the appellate section of a Houston-based international law firm.

Robert lives in Austin with his wife, his two daughters and his dog Pepper. Before his daughters were born, he would pull all-nighters in pursuit of the perfect backyard brisket, but for the past several years his little girls have provided all the lack of sleep he needs.
