Roman Solowski has a broad defense practice with experience handling administrative agency issues, construction, coverage, employer liability, medical and nursing home malpractice and trucking/transportation. Roman prides himself on getting into the weeds of a case, immersing himself in both the facts of the matter and the law.

Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Roman worked at a Midwest litigation defense firm where he frequently handled ground-level investigations of high-profile catastrophic incidents, including an eight-figure farm fire coverage loss, a maritime incident involving multiple fatalities in a popular tourist destination and a school bus wrongful death. He was tasked with leading other associates on numerous trial teams and regularly prepared and presented witnesses for trial and deposition.

Earlier in his career, he worked at a civil litigation firm where he second-chaired many cases to trial.

Roman earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he externed with the Illinois Supreme Court. He holds a B.A. in philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis.

His time outside of the office includes enjoying good food, playing hockey and rehabbing his 120-year-old Chicago worker’s cottage.
