Sara Ruiz concentrates her practice in the areas of first party property, insurance coverage and sports, recreation and entertainment. She is adept at legal research and writing, which she uses to develop a comprehensive litigation strategy for her clients.

Sara joined Segal McCambridge as a law clerk before joining as an associate. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a law clerk at a firm that represents crime victims and survivors of sexual abuse in civil litigation and also served as a paralegal in the Estates Department at a large personal injury firm in New York, before attending law school.

Sara earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. She received Dean’s List honors and the High-Grade Award for legal research & writing. While attending Nova Southeastern University, she was managing editor of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law and vice president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. She also served as a research assistant for Legal Research and Writing.

Sara holds a B.A. in political science with a minor in criminology from Villanova University.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys traveling and attending sporting events.
