St. Jalisa Miller concentrates her practice in defending product and equipment manufacturers in general liability, mass toxic tort and product liability cases. She is committed to delivering effective defense strategies for her clients.
Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, St. Jalisa worked as an associate for a regional Midwest firm, defending global clients in toxic tort litigation from inception to resolution. She provided settlement and trial recommendations and successfully obtained complete case dismissals, including defending a global client’s products during discovery depositions. Additionally, she worked with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State’s Attorney, prosecuting misdemeanor and felony crimes, and gained experience through University of Illinois Chicago School of Law’s Pro Bono clinic.
Post undergrad, St. Jalisa joined Teach for America to charter the corps in Tulsa, Oklahoma serving as an early childhood education teacher in closing the achievement gap. St. Jalisa earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. While in law school part-time, she worked full-time as both an HIV Case Manager and a Patient Quality Assurance Specialist, transitioning from working on educational equity to addressing healthcare disparities.
St. Jalisa holds a B.S. in psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
Outside of work, St. Jalisa enjoys traveling, golfing and cooking.
