Timothy Phillips focuses his practice on litigation in the representation of insurance carriers defending first-party bad faith lawsuits. He has experience developing cases, drafting and responding to pleadings, and drafting motions and briefs at the trial and appellate levels.

Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Timothy served as a summer associate for litigation firms in Texas. He held a judicial internship with the Honorable Christine A. Nowak in the Eastern District of Texas.

Timothy earned his J.D. from Baylor Law School where he was a research assistant to Professor Jim Wren. He holds a B.A. in sociology and a minor in Asian studies from the University of Texas.

Timothy lives in Austin with his wife and golden retriever. He enjoys traveling and cheering for the Houston Astros and the University of Texas.
