Charisma Hunter focuses her practice in construction litigation and employment litigation. She brings a solid foundation in legal research, writing and case analysis, developed through hands-on experience in federal and state courts and exposure to complex commercial matters. Charisma approaches each case with careful preparation and attention to detail, drawing on her broad training across multiple practice areas.

Prior to joining the firm, Charisma cultivated a multifaceted legal skillset. She served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Chief Judge Margo K. Brodie of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, where she drafted legal memoranda and gained exposure to federal litigation. She also externed for Judge Ciaffone and Judge Griffith at the Virginia 23rd District Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, gaining experience in state law and family law matters. Before law school, Charisma interned with the United States Fashion Industry Association, where she worked on trade policy issues affecting the textiles and apparel sectors. She further expanded her experience as a Complex Commercial Litigation law clerk at a litigation firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, working on appellate matters, banking matters, HOA disputes, and developing a passion for navigating complex legal issues.

Charisma is a native of Virginia and earned her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law. While in law school, Charisma served as Senior Articles Editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review, a member of the Pro Bono Board, and Historian of the Black Law Students Association, and was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. Charisma also worked as a research assistant for Professor Brandon Hasbrouck, supporting scholarship on constitutional law. Charisma made history at Washington and Lee School of Law, by becoming the first Black woman to be a Staff Writer on the Washington and Lee Law Review.

Charisma holds a B.A., cum laude, in political science from Virginia Tech.

Charisma enjoys all things music, traveling, yoga, and spending time outdoors.
