Emily Weisslitz concentrates her practice on complex civil litigation, including general liability, product liability, employment litigation, construction defect and matters involving public and private entities. She has significant experience defending religious institutions, school districts, municipalities and other public entities against claims involving alleged abuse, discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, excessive force, false arrest, negligent hiring and supervision and premises liability. Her practice also includes complex financial fraud matters and claims brought under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Additionally, Emily has extensive trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts. She handles matters through all phases of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, dispositive motions, witness preparation, pre-trial motions, expert depositions and examination of witnesses at trial. She also has significant e-discovery experience, including negotiating ESI protocols and search terms, supervising collections and overseeing large-scale document reviews and productions for clients in the public and private sectors

Emily earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She received her B.A., political science, from the University of Chicago.

Emily currently lives in Western New Jersey with her husband and two sons.  She enjoys tasting her husband’s latest baking experiments and singing John Denver songs at the top of her lungs on road trips to the Midwest to visit family.
