After a four-day trial, Paul Motz, Michael Luchsinger, and Christina Putman achieved a significantly reduced damages verdict in a retaliatory discharge case in Kane County, Illinois. Plaintiff alleged retaliation against the defendants, her former employer, claiming that she had been fired for requesting payment of sales commissions that were not yet due to her. The jury awarded a verdict that was less than a third of plaintiff’s final settlement demand and less than half of plaintiff’s request at closing.
