Ashlica Malcolm concentrates her practice on product liability, asbestos and toxic torts.  Ashlica’s dedication to her clients and her comprehensive approach to legal proceedings make her a valuable advocate in the courtroom.

In addition, Ashlica’s extensive experience in criminal law, including analyzing evidence, conducting investigations and courtroom advocacy, provides valuable skills for her current role in litigation defense. Her proficiency in preparing cases, performing oral arguments, and delivering persuasive statements to juries enhances her effectiveness in advocating for clients in diverse legal matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Ashlica served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. She started in the Domestic Violence Bureau where she managed a significant caseload and won her first trial with top counts. She then transferred into a trial zone where she was promoted to Grand Jury and presented complex felony cases to jurors. Ashlica has served as a student intern for the Legal Aid Society, acted as a Sappern Fellow for the Sappern Fellowship Program and served as a Law Student Intern for both the Civil Justice Clinic at Quinnipiac University Law School and Hubbell Incorporated.

Ashlica earned her J.D. from the Quinnipiac University Law School, cum laude. While in law school, she was a member of multiple organizations including, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, the Black Law Student Association, the Society for Dispute Resolution, the Moot Court Society and the National Black Law Student Association.

She holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in criminal justice & human security with a minor in political science from the University of Bridgeport where she was selected as the 2018 Student Commencement Speaker.

Outside of her work, Ashlica is an avid reader and lives in Brooklyn with her fiancé and Maltese mix, Toby.
