Brad Sklencar is a successful civil litigation attorney with over 35 years of experience in complex case litigation with an emphasis on construction law, employment law, insurance defense, premises liability, product liability, and professional malpractice and disciplinary matters.  He represents both large and small businesses as well as individuals in both state and federal courts across Texas defending parties and prosecuting claims in all aspects of commercial and business litigation.

Brad believes in taking the time to listen and learn from his clients to become familiar with and understand their business and the facts of the dispute or legal issue at issue so he can develop a successful litigation strategy.  He believes a client’s input is crucial in developing a comprehensive and useful defensive strategy and in providing legal advice tailored to the client’s individual needs and specific matters.

Brad has regularly defended architects, engineers, owners, general contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers in all types of claims and construction related matters involving public and private projects.   He has represented all types of parties in the chain in construction design claims, defect claims, lien claims, warranty claims, breach of contract claims and other contract related disputes.

Additionally, Brad has extensive employment practice experience, including defending and prosecuting civil suits involving wrongful termination, harassment, age, race, or gender discrimination under State and Federal statutes, and defending administrative claims for public and private employers and individual claimants before the NLRB, EEOC and TWC on labor practices, employment disputes, wage claims and discrimination claims.

Brad has also taken the extra step to successfully become Board Certified in both Construction Law and Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Outside of work, Brad spends time with his family, and enjoys Texas coastal bay fishing, watching the Texas Longhorns and working on classic cars.
