Deema Hagehassan is an experienced litigator focusing her practice on insurance defense, including first-party and provider PIP, UM/UIM and bodily injury matters. She is dedicated to effectively managing and overseeing her caseload of insurance defense cases, taking them from their inception to resolution. She is adept at drafting motions, legal briefs, and opinions as well as conducting oral arguments in Michigan State Courts.

In addition to her insurance defense work, Deema also contributed to various legal matters, including estate administration, conservatorships, guardianship, family issues like child support, custody, and divorce and bankruptcy cases.

Deema understands that legal matters can be daunting, but she firmly believes that successful legal representation begins with building strong attorney-client relationships. She is dedicated to ensuring that clients stay well-informed throughout every stage of their case and tailors strategies to meet each client’s individual needs, all while remaining transparent in all aspects of representation so that clients can trust that they are fully aware of their options and the potential implications of those choices.       

Prior to joining the firm, Deema served as an associate for a well-known Michigan employee benefits firm honing her insurance defense skills. She has also served as an associate handling domestic legal matters.

Deema earned her J.D. and certificates in civil mediation and domestic relation mediation from the Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. While in law school, Deema enhanced her legal experience by serving as a law clerk for a Michigan personal injury firm. She also served as an athletic compliance intern for Oakland University.

She holds a B.S. in health care management from Madonna University.

Deema lives in Ann Arbor, MI with her husband, three kids, two dogs and cat. She has a large family that she loves to spend lots of time with, but also wants to visit as many different countries as she can. She enjoys kayaking and generally being outside no matter the weather.
