Elizabeth Railey focuses her practice in toxic tort. She has experience handling litigation matters involving detailed financial records and has worked on cases requiring extensive analysis, discovery and motion practice. Elizabeth’s background includes drafting petitions, motions and memoranda and developing litigation strategy in complex matters.

In addition, Elizabeth has experience analyzing large volumes of financial and transactional data, including matters involving cryptocurrency and digital asset reporting. She has worked with evolving regulatory frameworks and applies detailed factual analysis to support litigation strategy and case development.

Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Elizabeth practiced with a Chicago-area law firm where she handled complex financial disputes and litigation matters in both administrative and court proceedings. She also gained experience through a law school clinic, where she assisted in the defense of a federal court enforcement action and supported trial preparation, discovery and witness coordination.

Elizabeth earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she received a Certificate in Legal Innovation and Technology and was named to the Dean’s List. She holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Alabama, with minors in cyber criminology and general business.

Elizabeth lives in Chicago with her tuxedo cat, Axl. Her pastimes include golfing, reading and exploring Chicago’s thriving culinary scene.
