Grant Farmer focuses his practice on insurance coverage and first-party insurance defense litigation across Texas. He uses his experience effectively resolving both commercial and non-commercial insurance claims to achieve beneficial results for his clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Grant served as an associate at an Austin litigation firm, where he acted as lead counsel in both pre-suit and litigation matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premise liability claims and defective product claims. In that role, he evaluated the viability of claims, initiated multi-million-dollar legal demands and negotiated settlements with commercial and non-commercial insurance carriers. Earlier in his career, Grant worked in the University of Texas Athletics Department’s risk management and compliance office, where he drafted waiver requests, interpreted NCAA rules and responded to Freedom of Information Act requests.
Grant earned his J.D. from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where he was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and a Moorad Fellow concentrating in sports law. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration. with a Pre-Law Minor, summa cum laude, from Mississippi State University, where he was inducted in the Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor societies.
In his free time, he enjoys biking, running and trying new restaurants in the Austin area.
