Jodi Buratti focuses her practice on complex litigation, including toxic torts, product liability and warranty matters.
Based in New York, Jodi represents companies in the automotive industry. She serves as national and local counsel for multi-national corporations in state court, multi-district litigation and arbitrations.
Jodi serves as national supervisory counsel for several international automobile, motor sport and power equipment manufacturers overseeing hundreds of toxic tort cases. In this role, she coordinates and directs all national investigations, and develops global and national defenses and strategy. She has developed and cultivated numerous experts and corporate witnesses for deposition and trial. She also selects and supervises local counsel, trial counsel, retains investigators and consultants and determines budgets consistent with national strategy.
Jodi also has experience with regulatory matters involving the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and various state motor vehicle agencies, particularly with respect to manufacturer-dealer issues. In addition, she has participated in seminars involving toxic torts and the Transportation Recall Enhancement Accountability and Documentation (“TREAD”) Act.
Outside of work, she enjoys playing and watching tennis, cooking, travel and exploring life with her husband John, son Carter, and their dogs, Biscuit and Sasha.
