Katelyn Stevens focuses her practice on first-party insurance defense litigation. Her dedication to thorough case preparation and her proactive approach to client communication reinforce her commitment to delivering effective, client centered legal support.

Prior to joining the firm, Katelyn clerked at the City of Austin Law Department where she worked on various legal research assignments for both the litigation and real estate divisions. She also interned with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office Organized Crime division where she helped in trial preparation.

Katelyn earned her J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law where she was selected to serve as the Chief of the Judge Elmo B. Hunter Legal Clinic for Crimes Against Women where she worked directly with clients on various legal matters, allowing her to gain valuable skills in client communication and zealous advocacy. She also served as Senior Articles Director of the SMU Science and Technology Law Review where she reviewed and managed all student submissions to the journal and served as Vice-President of the SMU Sports and Entertainment Law Association where she helped organize multiple legal panels including SMU’s first Sports Law Symposium. She received her B.B.A., cum laude, in Marketing and Sport Management from the University of Oklahoma.

In her free time, Katelyn enjoys spending time with her friends, cheering on the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Stars, and taking her dog Rooster on walks.
