Marla Jacobs concentrates her practice on insurance defense litigation, representing clients in first- and third-party matters involving personal injury protection (PIP) and uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims. She guides clients through all stages of the litigation process, from initial case evaluation through trial and appeal.

Prior to joining the firm, Marla served as an attorney with a Michigan insurance defense firm, where she managed a high-volume caseload and handled all aspects of litigation. Her experience included developing case strategy, drafting pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, conducting witness depositions, appearing at motion hearings, settlement conferences, facilitations, preparing appellate briefs and managing trial preparation. Previously, Marla gained experience defending dental and medical malpractice claims, assisting with trial preparation, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, appearing in court and facilitating Medicare lien appeals. Earlier in her career, she served as an office manager for a Michigan law firm, where she oversaw firm operations, managed staff, implemented office procedures and coordinated marketing initiatives.

Marla grew up in metro Detroit and lives in Huntington Woods, Michigan.  She enjoys doing seasonal outdoor activities and spending time with her family.
