Megan Janowiak concentrates her practice on complex personal injury and professional liability litigation. She is a zealous advocate and experienced litigator who represents her clients in all phases of litigation. Megan’s background encompasses both litigation and insurance claims management, giving her a strategic perspective on liability analysis, damages assessment, insurance coverage issues, and the resolution of high-exposure claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Megan served as a complex claims specialist for a national insurance company, where she managed a portfolio of complex lawyers’ professional liability claims. In this role, she evaluated liability and damage exposure, directed litigation strategy with defense counsel, negotiated claim resolutions, and participated in mediations involving high-risk matters.

Earlier in her career, Megan worked as an associate with a regional litigation firm, representing healthcare and other professionals in malpractice claims and defending licensed professionals in regulatory investigations before the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and Attorneys General in Illinois and Indiana.

Megan earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. During law school, Megan served as associate research editor for the Journal of Environmental and Energy Law, competed as a brief writer and oralist in the National Appellate Advocacy Tournament for Religious Freedom, and was honored to receive a CALI Award in Trial Advocacy. She received her B.A. in philosophy and English literature, summa cum laude, from DePaul University.

Megan lives in Chicago with her husband and spends her free time reading, enjoying local theater and visiting cafes around the city.
