Michelle Regan focusses her practice on defending civil litigation claims and lawsuits primarily involving premises liability, transportation, general negligence, product liability and toxic tort matters.

Michelle regularly defends high-exposure cases, often involving catastrophic injuries on behalf of interstate transportation companies, routinely achieving positive outcomes because of her extraordinary work ethic and meticulous case management. Her clients consistently cite her strategic counsel and attention to detail in requesting that she be assigned their biggest cases.

Michelle has extensive experience defending New York Labor Law claims having represented contractors (including an international construction company), property owners and municipal entities in complex litigation. Michelle also has years of experience defending asbestos claims for various Fortune 500 companies.

When Michelle began her career more than 30 years ago, she represented plaintiffs in personal injury, product liability and medical malpractice claims. Her transition to defense work (encouraged by a respected adversary) gives her unique insight into plaintiffs’ tactics, enhancing her ability to anticipate and counter litigation challenges effectively.

Prior to joining the firm, Michelle served as of counsel to a regional litigation firm in New York where she defended large scale businesses and major insurers in both state and federal court. During her career, Michelle has successfully secured dismissals of claims for a wide range of clients, including contractors and property owners in general negligence and Labor Law matters.

Michelle earned her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and her B.A. in psychology, cum laude, from Hofstra University. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Outside the office, Michelle enjoys early-morning workouts, baking her widely-praised chocolate chip cookies (references and samples available upon request), and spending time with her family which includes Lakota, her tri-color English Shepherd and Taranis, her 120-pound Presa Canario who thinks he is a lap dog.
