Mike Cohen focuses his legal practice on civil litigation including high-profile cases involving medical devices, FDA issues and other complex disputes. He excels in conducting comprehensive prelitigation investigations, which allows him to craft strategic solutions and advise his clients accordingly.
Prior to joining the firm, he focused his practice on defending patent infringement lawsuits involving a wide range of technologies including medical devices, cancer treatments and computer-implemented software methods. He has successfully drafted multiple dispositive motions resulting in early case dismissals, including challenges to patent validity.
Mike earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and holds a B.S. in chemistry from the University of California, Davis. Prior to law school, Mike worked as an analytical chemist in a lab specializing in testing environmental samples for polyfluoroalkyl substances. In addition to being licensed in California, he is a registered patent attorney.
Mike lives in Los Angeles where he enjoys live music and comedy. He also enjoys traveling and trying new foods.
