Overview
Segal McCambridge represents clients in the sports, recreation and entertainment industries, with a focus on venue liability and counseling clients on changing regulations and evolving liability trends.
Our practice is client-centered and addresses tort, discrimination, contract and insurance matters with personal attention and collaborative strategies.
What We Do
The firm’s unique experience in sports, recreation and entertainment includes defending claims for sexual assault and abuse, premises and spectator liability, as well as representing the specific needs of professional and amateur athletes.
Segal McCambridge regularly defends Title IX and discrimination in sport cases and maintains a national SafeSport practice. The firm is also a member of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee’s Athlete Legal Aid Panel.
Our focus is on proactive counseling to mitigate risk for our clients. We develop risk-prevention programs and protocols to address issues that may arise in the course of any sport or activity, from drafting ticket language and liability waivers to defending a variety of lawsuits that can occur at these venues.
Our attorneys also review documents related to licensing, image rights and endorsement agreements.
