Patrick Badgero focuses his practice on civil defense litigation, including automobile negligence matters, Michigan No-Fault/PIP claims and bodily injury defense. He has experience supporting complex litigation matters and has drafted motion responses, pleadings, and case evaluation summaries, while playing an active role in witness preparation, exhibit development and trial preparation.

Patrick works closely with insurers, businesses and individual clients to develop practical strategies aimed at resolving disputes efficiently and achieving favorable outcomes. He is involved in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, facilitation, motion practice and trial preparation.

Prior to joining Segal McCambridge, Patrick gained valuable litigation experience with Michigan law firms on both the plaintiff and defense sides. He began his career at one of Michigan’s largest plaintiff firms, where he developed insight into plaintiff strategy, case development and damages presentation. He later gained experience with a well-regarded defense firm, assisting in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice and trial preparation. This background allows Patrick to evaluate cases from multiple perspectives and develop practical, strategic solutions for clients.

He earned his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he received Book Awards in Torts II, Civil Procedure II and Entertainment Law. Patrick received his B.S. in history from Wayne State University.

Outside of his legal practice, Patrick enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to his wife, Amanda, and together they are proud parents of their two daughters, Amelia and Eleanor.
