Raquel Whiting focuses her practice on civil litigation matters including product liability and toxic tort litigation. She conducts legal research, drafts motions and assists in discovery to support case development and trial preparation. With experience handling diverse legal issues, Raquel effectively and efficiently analyzes case materials and collaborates with attorneys to develop strong litigation strategies.
Prior to joining the firm Raquel gained experience in various areas of law through roles in public defense, immigration, environmental law and wrongful conviction advocacy. As a Student Attorney with the WashU Law Wrongful Conviction Clinic, she assisted in representing individuals asserting claims of innocence conducting investigations, legal research and drafting parole applications. She also worked at a global immigration law firm where she prepared visa petitions and assisted attorneys with client interactions. Raquel has held legal intern positions with a nonprofit environmental law center and a public defender’s office, and she also held a policy intern position with a nonprofit organization focused on homeless and at-risk families. Additionally, she gained international experience as a legal assistant at a family law firm in Spain where she translated legal documents and researched laws affecting members of the European Union.
Raquel earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law where she served as primary editor of the Global Studies Law Review.
Raquel holds a B.A., cum laude, in International Relations and History from Tufts University where she was a captain of the Track and Field team.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running and reading.
