Samantha Coulter brings a diverse range of legal experience to her practice. focusing her practice on first- and third-party No-Fault matters, general negligence matters, personal injury, transportation and real estate matters. Additionally, her background in civil litigation defense, cannabis law, elder law, estate planning and real estate provides a well-rounded perspective to her clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Samantha served as an associate for prominent civil litigation firms where she handled a substantial caseload of civil litigation matters, specializing in defense cases such as catastrophic first- and third-party automobile claims, general negligence matters, construction claims, property disputes and personal injury. Her responsibilities include conducting thorough research and due diligence, preparing legal documents and representing her clients in district and circuit courts throughout Michigan.

Samantha also gained valuable experience as a law clerk for several Metro-Detroit firms, exposing her to a diverse range of practice areas. She played an integral role in the early days of Michigan’s cannabis legal landscape, gaining municipal and state approval for a multitude of medical and adult-use cannabis facilities. Furthermore, she advised clients on estate planning and probate matters such as wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, deeds, and powers of attorney, showcasing her knowledge in elder and estate planning law.

Beyond her legal pursuits, Samantha has maintained an active real estate license in the State of Michigan since 2014. Samantha credits the negotiation skills she utilizes as an attorney to her beginnings in real estate. Samantha remains knowledgeable about market trends in order to achieve the best results for her clients, showcasing her dedication to staying current in her areas of expertise.

Samantha earned her J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During her time in law school, Samantha played an instrumental role in founding the Environmental Law Society and received a Book Award in Elder Law.

Samantha also holds a B.A. in social relations & policy from the James Madison College at Michigan State University with a minor in economics and a concentration in real estate investment management. She was a founding member of the Beta Theta Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta, a women’s fraternal organization at Michigan State University and as a proud Spartan, is an active alumnus.
