Trager Metge focuses his practice on complex product liability, toxic tort litigation and defense of government entities and municipalities. He has extensive experience managing numerous parallel matters, skillfully guiding each through every stage of the litigation process.

Prior to joining the firm, Trager served as an associate for an environmental and general litigation defense firm in Boston. He also served as a law clerk for a national business law firm, and as a judicial intern for the Massachusetts Superior Court.

Trager earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, cum laude where he was on the Dean’s List each semester. While in law school, he served as Senior Forward Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review and as host of the Forward podcast. He also served as Vice President of Community Outreach and Marketing for the Indigenous Law Student Association and as a Criminal Law Discussion Leader for the Academic Enhancement Program. Through a year-long clinic with the Frank J. Remington Center’s Oxford Federal Project, Trager also assisted incarcerated individuals with appeals and sentence modifications.

He holds a B.A. in Chinese, environmental studies and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Trager is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Chinese and Japanese.

Outside of work, Trager enjoys trail running, practicing languages while traveling and cooking.
