Tyler Kusler focuses his practice on civil litigation, representing clients in a range of matters before New York state courts. He brings a strong foundation in legal research, advocacy and litigation support to every matter he handles. Tyler is committed to helping clients navigate complex legal issues through diligent preparation and a practical, results-oriented approach.

Prior to joining the firm, Tyler served as an associate attorney at a New York litigation firm where he regularly appeared in supreme courts, drafted legal documents and conducted legal research across a variety of topics. He also contributed to the Legal Aid Society’s Lawsuit Summarization Project, coding and summarizing civil rights complaints related to police misconduct as part of the Law Enforcement Lookup database. During law school, Tyler represented clients in federal tax matters as a clinician with the Loyola Federal Income Tax Clinic, managing audits, appeals and collections before the IRS.

Tyler earned his J.D. from the Loyola School of Law with a certificate in tax law. He holds a B.S. in history with a minor in political science from Iowa State University.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys traveling to and exploring new cities, especially their history and  cuisines. When at home he can be found reading or playing chess.
