Nathan Horne Selected to Join International Association of Defense Counsel

Segal McCambridge is pleased to announce that Shareholder Nathan R. Horne has been selected to join the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), an invitation-only, peer-reviewed association of approximately 2,500 defense attorneys, in-house counsel, and insurance executives worldwide.

IADC membership is reserved for experienced professionals of high standing whose work principally focuses on representing defendants, businesses, management, or insurance interests. The IADC Membership Committee reviewed Horne’s nomination, and the Board of Directors unanimously approved it.

“Nathan has built his career around sophisticated defense work, sound judgment, and commitment to clients that this membership represents,” said Jason P. Eckerly, Managing Shareholder of Segal McCambridge. “His selection to the IADC is well deserved, and we’re proud to see Nathan join this respected group of defense attorneys and industry leaders.”

A seasoned trial lawyer, Horne manages an active litigation docket that includes AgChem/pesticide, asbestos, benzene, silica, environmental spill, product liability and premises liability matters. He serves as national coordinating counsel for three companies on toxic tort matters, developing and coordinating defense strategies nationwide. He also serves as Texas counsel for several clients and has tried more than 20 cases to verdict in state and federal courts.

In addition to his litigation practice, Horne serves on Segal McCambridge’s Executive Committee and chairs the firm’s Internal Cybersecurity & Technology Committee. He earned his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.

The IADC has served the defense bar since 1920 and provides its international membership with professional development, continuing legal education, networking, and opportunities to engage with colleagues across the defense and insurance industries.
