Segal McCambridge Hires Shareholder Anthony Sbarra, Who Will Lead Firm’s New Boston Office

Segal McCambridge is pleased to announce its expansion with the addition of respected trial attorney Anthony “Tony” Sbarra, who will head the firm’s newest office in Boston, MA. Boston represents Segal McCambridge’s 14th nationwide office, and Sbarra will lead the new practice as the firm continues its growth.

Sbarra, who joins Segal McCambridge as a Shareholder, has extensive experience in practice areas such as construction litigation, product liability, trucking, toxic torts, and farming and agricultural equipment.

“We are excited to welcome Tony to our team. Tony is a natural fit as he has worked as local counsel for some of the firm’s national clients for several years. He’s an excellent addition to the Segal McCambridge team, and we’re pleased he will be hitting the ground running in our newest office in Boston,” said Jason P. Eckerly, Managing Shareholder of the firm. “We are confident in his abilities as both an attorney and a leader to carry us forward on this exciting new endeavor for our firm.”

Sbarra has tried to verdict over 30 Superior Court and 60 District Courts actions and mediated hundreds of additional cases throughout his career. He recently completed his term as National Director for DRI – Lawyers Representing Business, an international organization for attorneys focusing on civil litigation, and is also an elected member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. His other work includes advising legal education initiatives for the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Conference Institute.

Sbarra graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and earned his Juris Doctor at Suffolk University Law School in Boston. He is licensed to practice in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Sbarra was named the 2023 Lawyer of the Year in Boston for Mass Tort Litigation Defense by Best Lawyers® in America.

“I thank Jason and everyone at Segal McCambridge for this vote of confidence as we build our Boston office for this long-established law firm,” Sbarra said. “My goal is to make my coworkers and colleagues proud of our work and to continue increasing Segal McCambridge’s stellar reputation from coast to coast.”
