Segal McCambridge Hosts Forum on “The Tale of Two Cities: Violence in Chicago”

On July 18, 2017, Segal McCambridge will host its 4th Public Affairs Forum. Reverend Doctor Michael Pfleger, Senior Pastor at Saint Sabina Catholic Church will address “The Tale of Two Cities: Violence in Chicago.” Father Pfleger will provide a behind the scenes look into street crime as it plagues Chicago’s streets today. He will address institutional barriers affecting certain neighborhoods and will discuss the impact had on neighborhood economies when there is a lack of jobs and business opportunities other than the sale of street drugs.

Since 1968, Father Pfleger has lived and ministered in the African-American community in Chicago’s west and south sides. He has been recognized in many notable publications such as People, Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune and The Washington Post for his fight against alcohol and tobacco billboards, drugs and racism.

Segal McCambridge’s Public Affairs Forum consists of a series of presentations led by prominent speakers dedicated to creating meaningful dialogue on local, national and global issues. Forum events include prominent speakers from government, the business community and academia.
