Segal McCambridge Launches LA Office With Litigation Hire, Published in Law360

Law360 published an article regarding the firm's continued growth, highlighting Christopher (Chris) Norton's new role and the opening of the firm's office in Los Angeles. Norton, who has two decades of civil litigation experience in California and nationally, will be in charge of the California office alongside fellow firm Shareholder John (Willy) Eberlein. Norton told Law360 that, over the last decade, he has worked with Segal McCambridge attorneys on several matters, including litigation against the manufacturers of anesthetic "pain pumps" that caused substantial shoulder injuries. He said those experiences led to a closer working relationship with the firm's attorneys, which eventually culminated in his decision to join and spearhead the nascent Los Angeles office.

"It was an opportunity that I could not pass up that came along at precisely the right time — not only for the firm but for many of the clients we serve," Norton said. "Los Angeles has been home for almost my entire adult life, and I could not be more excited to help the firm expand here. I'm thankful for the shareholders' vote of confidence in me to help the firm take this next step."

"Opening a new office in the second-largest metropolitan area in the United States represents a significant achievement for Segal McCambridge," managing shareholder Jason P. Eckerly said in a statement. "Chris' experience and reputation in Southern California give us a solid foundation to build upon as we continue to expand our presence in the Western United States."
