Basil A. “Bill” DiSipio has over four decades of experience as a trial lawyer representing corporations, insurers and nonprofit organizations in a wide range of tort and commercial litigation. He has served as national coordinating counsel for product manufacturers and handled numerous high-exposure cases involving catastrophic injuries. Bill takes a hands-on, strategic approach to litigation management and settlement negotiations, working closely with clients to achieve successful resolutions in complex matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Bill was the managing shareholder of a regional litigation firm, where he oversaw complex litigation nationwide. In that role, he acted as national counsel for manufacturers involved in product liability and mass tort lawsuits, and he led the firm’s trial teams and settlement efforts in high-profile cases. He has also served on the faculty of national trial academies and held leadership positions in several educational and legal institutions.
Bill earned his J.D., cum laude, from Temple University Beasley School of Law. After law school, he served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Michael J. Eagen of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He received his B.A., cum laude, in economics from Villanova University.
Bill lives in Havertown, Pennsylvania with his wife, Mary. They are parents of five adult children and grandparents of six grandchildren. Bill and Mary are avid supporters of college athletics, especially the programs of Villanova University and University of Delaware.

Representative Matters
- Obtained order of summary judgment on behalf of an aerial lift manufacturer in the Southern District of New York on Daubert grounds. Plaintiff was brain-injured when he fell out of an aerial lift due to the failure of a piston-driven cable system.
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a vegetation management company servicing the utility industry involving a loss of limb. Plaintiff alleged that the vegetation management company failed to identify a dangerous condition in the area of a utility pole.
- Obtained a defense verdict in State Court in New Jersey in favor of a vegetation management company involving the death of a plaintiff after contact with a wood chipper.
- Defended a product manufacturer in the multi-party “Meridian Litigation” involving a fire that destroyed a high-rise office tower in Philadelphia.
- Successfully representing a product manufacturer in breast implant litigation in which allegations were dismissed on lack of scientific basis.
- Achieved dismissal of a claim of electrocution causing cardiomyeopathy on behalf of a consumer product manufacturer wherein it was decided that that there was no scientific basis to the expert’s conclusions on Frye/Topa grounds.
