Janelle Lopez focuses her practice on corporate law, labor and employment, real estate, intellectual property and litigation. She provides strategic counsel to businesses, guiding them through contract negotiations, risk management and dispute resolution. With extensive experience in both transactional and litigation matters. Janelle’s particular corporate experience allows her to help clients navigate complex legal challenges while protecting their assets and business interests. She recognizes that no two clients are alike and ensures she meets each client where they and will work to see them where they want to be.

Prior to joining the firm, Janelle served as corporate counsel at a Fortune 500 retail company, where she managed a portfolio of over 400 litigated matters, oversaw internal investigations and provided legal guidance on real estate, ADA compliance and employment-related issues. She also worked at a boutique Washington, D.C. law firm focused on government contracts and appellate practice, assisting veterans and social security recipients with benefits appeals. She additionally maintained her own firm with a focus on litigation, transaction contract matters and special need guardianship matters. Earlier in her career, Janelle held senior paralegal roles in corporate, real estate and intellectual property law, where she gained valuable experience in the inner workings of organizations, commercial transactions, entity management and regulatory compliance.

Janelle earned her J.D. from Capital University Law School and holds a B.S. in business administration from Franklin University.

Janelle lives in Columbus, OH with her husband and three children Jaden, Jordan and Julian and two dogs Luna and Noah. She’s an avid reader and enjoys woodworking and gardening in her spare time.
