Jon Fortin focuses his practice on asbestos, toxic tort and commercial litigation. With a diverse background in government and non-profit sectors, he offers a distinct perspective and a range of skills that contribute to his effectiveness in establishing strong client connections.

Jon’s approach to the practice of law exemplifies his belief that it serves as the cornerstone of our democracy. He sees attorneys as individuals entrusted with the responsibility of upholding professional standards and ethics, while diligently advocating for their clients’ interests. This conviction guides his daily efforts to secure the optimal outcomes for his clients, ensuring they receive a robust and steadfast defense.    

Prior to joining the firm, Jon was an associate at a large firm where he worked in transportation defense litigation practice, defending trucking companies and drivers in matters related to personal injury and cargo loss.

Jon holds a J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law where he served as the executive board president of the Outlaw UIC Law School Chapter and as a student attorney for the Veteran’s Legal Clinic. He earned a B.A. in public policy from DePaul University.

Jon lives in Chicago with his partner Jeremy. He is a theatre enthusiast and tries to spend as much time as possible on the water during Chicago’s short summers.
