Nicholas Gisonda brings years of insurance defense experience to his litigation practice, with an emphasis on premises liability, motor vehicle liability and labor law. Handling cases from inception through trial and appeal, Nicholas utilizes his skills in research, legal writing and oral argument to achieve optimal results for his clients.

In addition, Nicholas has extensive alternative dispute resolution experience, which has led to numerous successful mediations.

Nicholas believes in the attorney’s role as counselor and problem-solver. He believes that creativity, civility and empathy are the key components to securing the best outcome for the client.

Prior to joining the firm, Nicholas lead cases at a number of civil litigation firms in New York City. He has acted as staff counsel to a worldwide financial services firm and a local New York City auto insurance company, defending his clients against various negligence claims.

Nicholas attended the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law where he earned his J.D. and served as a Notes Editor of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Swarthmore College.

In his free time, Nicholas enjoys watching horror movies, following his fantasy sports teams and crossword puzzles.
