Sophia Shih concentrates her practice in the areas of product liability, commercial litigation and toxic tort defense litigation, where she drafts precise motions and appeal briefs, represents clients in depositions and court conferences and strategically analyzes complex medical and legal data to build compelling defenses. With a meticulous approach, Sophia reviews medical records, expert testimonies, and legal precedents to identify key facts and achieve favorable outcomes for her clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Sophia was an associate at a New York City defense litigation firm, where she focused on medical malpractice cases and represented physicians, hospitals and wellness facilities. She also gained experience as a law clerk and later a junior associate at a regional litigation firm, working on foreclosure litigation. Additionally, Sophia served as a legal intern for the Honorable Gerald Lebovits at the New York State Supreme Court.
Sophia holds an LL.M. in international business and economic law from the Georgetown University Law Center and a Juris Master (J.M.), equivalent to a J.D., from Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan.
Sophia lives in Long Island City with her cat. She is a frequent traveler who enjoys exploring new cities and is always on the hunt for her next adventure.
