Sydney Keller focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, first-party insurance defense, premises and product liability, transportation and appellate litigation. Clients turn to Sydney for her attention to detail, effective and efficient research, writing and persuasive advocacy in the courtroom.

Prior to joining the firm, Sydney served as an associate for a prominent Texas school law firm focusing her practice on special education litigation. She sat second chair in administrative hearings defending public school districts in front of the Texas Education Agency. She effectively advocated for her clients in her preparation of witnesses, motions, briefs, responses to requests for due process hearings, as well as her skilled presentations of opening and closing statements and her examination of witnesses.

Additionally, Sydney has previously served as a law clerk and legal intern for Disability Rights Texas, Travis County Probate Court and the Harris County Attorney’s Office. Sydney also interned for a small private law firm in Austin, which focused on elder law and provided guidance to nursing homes and retirement communities. She has also acted as a student attorney ad litem for Texas Law’s Children’s Rights Clinic for three consecutive semesters and sat first chair in hearings representing children in the custody of the Department of Family and Protective Services.

Sydney earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law with pro bono honors. While attending law school, she served as the conference editor and as a staff editor for the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties and Civil Rights.

She holds a B.A. in political science and psychology from the University of St. Thomas, summa cum laude. Sydney graduated at the top of her class for each of her majors, earning the distinction of the Outstanding Graduate for Political Science and the Outstanding Graduate for Psychology in May 2017.

Sydney lives in Houston and enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Michael, and their cat, Eloise. Sydney enjoys gardening, cooking and traveling.
