Timothy McHugh concentrates his practice in industrial and consumer product liability, toxic tort and business litigation matters. With over 30 years of experience as a trial attorney, Tim has tried numerous cases to verdict and secured favorable results for clients through summary judgment, jury trials and settlement negotiations. He represents Fortune 500 companies and manufacturers in asbestos and product liability matters in both state and federal courts across New York and New Jersey.

Prior to joining the firm, Tim was a shareholder and managing attorney in the New York office of a regional litigation firm. He served on its Board of Directors and led defense teams in automobile defect, industrial machinery, labor law and premises liability cases. He also completed the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Academy at Stanford Law School.

Tim earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and his B.A. in government from Dartmouth College, where he was a four-year letterman in lacrosse and the team’s most valuable player his senior year.

Tim lives on Long Island with his wife.  He is a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 7.  He enjoys skiing and spending time in the Adirondack State Park in the winters and going to the beach in the summers.
