An article published on June 8th in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, reviews a recent decision from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in which summary judgment was granted in favor of Segal McCambridge client Bonefish Grill. In the case, the Plaintiff and her husband had sued Bonefish Grill for negligence and loss of consortium, seeking recovery for injuries arising from an alleged slip-and-fall. However, the District Court concluded that there was insufficient direct and circumstantial evidence to create a material issue of fact as to proximate cause. As a consequence, the District Court granted summary judgment.
Lead counsel for Defendant are Chad Layton and co-counsel Damon Newman and Roman Solowski.
