Segal McCambridge is pleased to announce the opening of its newest office, located in Memphis at 6000 Poplar Avenue, Suite 250 in Memphis, TN 38119. Shareholder Nelson T. Rainey will oversee the firm’s Memphis office. Rainey is joined by three other Segal McCambridge hires, two of whom will be supporting the firm’s office in Tampa.
Rainey has experience as a trial and appellate attorney at both the state and federal level. He has argued cases across the nation related to construction, healthcare liability, commercial litigation, real estate, family law, and civil rights matters. Rainey has shepherded cases from pre-litigation up through the appeals process in cases involving family law, medical malpractice, and contract litigation, among other areas.

Rainey earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi and then graduated from the U.S. Army Sniper School. Rainey was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and after leaving the Army enrolled at the University of Memphis School of Law, where he received his law degree. Rainey, who is admitted to the Tennessee Bar, was recognized in the Super Lawyers® Rising Star for 2023. Additionally, has appeared in the Best Lawyers in America® Ones to Watch Family Law and Personal Injury Litigation-Defendants list from 2021 to 2024 as well as on its Health Care Law list from 2022 to 2024.
Working with Rainey to bolster his national litigation practice will be fellow hires Shareholder Michael S. Litrenta and Associates Angel T. Davis and Jaime K. Quezon.
Litrenta, who focuses on commercial litigation, started his career as a prosecutor before moving into general liability, construction law, and insurance coverage defense work. In addition to his work representing insurers, faith-based organizations, and businesses, Litrenta has taught courses in jury selection and litigation. He received a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his law degree from Barry University in Miami.
Quezon, a graduate of the University of South Florida and Stetson University College of Law, is a third-generation Florida attorney. His experience entails residential and commercial litigation insurance practice.
Davis focuses on product liability, trucking, and medical malpractice litigation. She earned her Bachelor of Science in criminology and sociology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and her law degree at Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. While studying at Campbell, Davis served as both vice president and president of the Health Law Association.
