In an article published on 8/29, Law360 reported that Segal McCambridge hired Maggie Potter as a shareholder to help expand the firm’s presence in Tampa, Florida. Potter is a seasoned insurance and complex commercial litigator with over 18 years of experience. Potter was drawn to Segal McCambridge due to its strong people and culture, and the firm’s existing property insurance, and bad faith practice. The firm has nine attorneys in Tampa.
"I'm very excited and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Segal team and to expand Segal's footprint in Tampa," Potter said. "Segal has a robust property insurance and bad faith practice already, which was one of the appealing features to me, so I can help it continue to grow."
Potter has guided businesses and residential clients on first-party property insurance matters, coverage analysis and policy interpretation. She has also handled bad faith litigation, negligence, policy drafting and premises liability matters.
“As Segal McCambridge broadens its reach in Florida, we are expanding the breadth and depth of our Tampa-based team," said Jason P. Eckerly, the firm's managing shareholder. "Maggie is well-versed in matters of insurance and civil litigation."
