Segal McCambridge is pleased to announce that Shareholder Mari Bryn Dowdy (she/her/hers) has been appointed as the Director of Education for the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (“CLM”) Austin Chapter Board.
CLM is the largest professional association in the insurance industry with more than 50,000 professionals in the claims resolution and litigation management industries. Founded in 2007, the CLM membership benefits from a wide variety of networking events and continuing education programs.
Mari Bryn is a Shareholder in the firm’s Austin office and an active member of the firm’s Construction Defect and Sports & Recreation Practice Groups. She is an experienced litigator who regularly handles a wide variety of complex litigation in Texas and throughout the country, including construction defect, product liability, toxic tort and catastrophic personal injury matters, as well as sports law related claims. She manages the national coordinating defense of several multinational equipment manufacturers and has served as both national counsel and Texas counsel for product manufacturers, premises owners, facilities and large corporations.
Additionally, Mari Bryn will be speaking at the CLM 2024 Annual Conference this April. The panel, titled “A Malignant Malady: Concrete Cancer, a Coverage Case Study”, will explore what happens when concrete cancer appears in over 100 residential and commercial pools in a single geographical area. The panel will also cover strategies for successfully challenging and defending such claims while highlighting the discussion by pulling from real-life experiences.
