Our summer associates can count on a comprehensive, real-world education on the responsibilities and experiences of associate attorneys.
They gain valuable practical experience and a deep understanding of what to expect after graduating from law school, passing the bar and becoming an associate.
Our program exposes future lawyers to a wide spectrum of litigation practices, including the opportunity to:
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations and arbitrations.
- Investigate and research critical information for current cases.
- Assist with drafting pleadings, written discovery, pretrial motions and discovery motions.
As part of their immersion into the activities of our firm, summer associates interact daily with attorneys of all experience levels, from first-year associates to the firm’s most experienced litigators. Along the way, select mentors guide them with the ins and outs of the firm, client work or anything that may help them during their time with the firm.
Segal McCambridge summer associates also participate in various social events to foster networking and collaboration. At the end of the program they are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to begin careers as practicing attorneys.
