Segal McCambridge Prevails with No-Cause Verdict in Automobile Negligence Bodily Injury Defense

Segal McCambridge Shareholder Stephanie Strycharz and Senior Associate Christopher Best secured a no-cause verdict in a Oakland County Circuit Court in defense of an automobile negligence bodily injury claim.

In the case, the defense highlighted that the defendant was confronted with a sudden emergency when another driver came into his lane and made contact with his vehicle.  This forced him into the lane of Plaintiff and resulted in a collision.  Further, the defense highlighted that the injuries that Plaintiff was claiming in the lawsuit were not proximately caused by the accident.

The Jury agreed with the defense and after forty five minutes of deliberation returned a no cause verdict finding no negligence by the defendant and no injuries sustained by Plaintiff.
