Kristina Dukanac concentrates her practice on general liability and professional liability. She is experienced in a variety of defense litigation matters including, but not limited to, medical malpractice, retail and hospitality claims and complex injury claims. She is also certified as a litigation management professional by the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance.
Prior to joining the firm, Kristina served as an associate attorney for a medical malpractice firm honing her defense litigation skills in research, drafting pleadings, discovery and arguing motions.
Kristina earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where she received the Dean’s Scholarship for Excellence and served as a Detroit Mercy Law Fellow. She was active in moot court as a volunteer judge, senior associate board member, brief writer and editor. She also competed in the Patrick A. Keenan Appellate Advocacy Competition where she was a quarterfinalist. While in law school, she served as a student advocate for the Detroit Mercy Law Criminal Trial Clinic and interned for a number of litigation firms.
Kristina holds an M.A. in criminology and a B.A. in criminology and sociology with a minor in German from the University of Windsor.
Outside of work, Kristina enjoys traveling, exploring Detroit and staying active.
She is fluent in Serbian.
