Wesley Welmaker is an experienced litigator and trial attorney focusing his practice on premises liability, intellectual property, first-party, workplace accidents and transportation insurance defense. His deep trial and settlement experience helps him identify and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each case, delivering the most favorable outcome in every circumstance.

Earlier in his career he served as in-house counsel for United Automobile Insurance Services, providing legal strategy for an annual docket of 100+ automobile personal injury and subrogation cases. In this role he coordinated risk assessments and managed all phases of litigation, including serving as first chair in 10 cases and bringing dozens to trial.

Wesley also has deep private practice experience, having worked at a number of prestigious national and Houston-based defense and plaintiff’s firms.

Wesley earned his J.D. from Oklahoma City University and a B.A. in economics from the University of Texas at Austin.

He lives in Houston with his wife, who is a schoolteacher, and his two children. He enjoys volunteering with his son’s Boy Scout Troop and his daughter’s softball team.
